ONLINE TRAINING WORKSHOP ON CONVENTION ON INTERNATIONAL TRADE OF ENDANGERED SPECIES OF FAUNA AND FLORA (CITES)

5-9 October, Thimphu: The Nature Conservation Division (NCD) of the Department of Forests & Park Services conducted a weeklong online training workshop on the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Fauna and Flora (CITES). Bhutan as a party, collectively and individually, faces a significant and diverse set of capacity-building needs that limit the robust implementation of the Convention. Therefore, the training workshop covered legislation, science and enforcement aspects of the Convention for further enhancement while implementing in the field.

More than 100 forestry staffs from Protected Areas and Territorial Forest Division registered in the inforMEA e-learning platform under the domain cites.org of CITES website and attended the online training.
