The Bhutan Trust Fund for Environmental Conservation (BTFEC), as the Implementing Partner for the Green List Certification of Bhutan’s’ Protected Area, is inviting interested/prospective individuals to submit their EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST TO BECOME A MEMBER OF THE IUCN EXPERT ASSESSMENT GROUP FOR THE GREEN LIST (EAGL) FOR BHUTAN
The IUCN Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas Programme (Green List for short) aims to recognize and promote successfully protected and conserved areas around the world by providing a global benchmark for PAs to assess its conservation outcomes through effective and equitable governance and management. The benefits of being an EAGL member include advancing PA management effectiveness and fairly governed PAs in Bhutan, membership with the IUCN World Commission on Protected Areas, and an opportunity to become part of the global Green List community of PA practitioners and stakeholders in more than 50 countries to date.
