A 21-day training program on Arms Handling and Uniform Code of Conduct was conducted for 24 newly recruited forestry officials at the Military Training Centre (MTC), Tencholing, Wangdue Phodrang.

This training is mandatory for new recruits and aimed to equip participants with essential skills in safe and responsible arms handling, while also instilling discipline, professionalism, and adherence to the uniform code of conduct required in the line of duty.

The program sought to enhance their capacity to carry out field responsibilities effectively, ensure personal and public safety, and uphold the values and standards of the Department as a paramilitary force. The training commenced on 6 April 2026.

The training concluded successfully on 25 April 2026, with certificates awarded during the closing ceremony. The ceremony was attended by the Officiating Director, accompanied by the Chief Forestry Officer (CFO) of the Divisional Forest Office, Wangdue, along with officials from the Department of Forests and Park Services (DoFPS).
